3) Create or Update AWeber Subscriber

Use workflows to automatically create or update AWeber subscriber.

1) Trigger Sending Action

The concept to trigger sending action for survey, review request, and interview request is the same.

In this example, we will show how you can trigger sending action to AWeber subscribers by list.

  • If you haven't setup survey, follow guide to setup one-click email survey.
  • Go to connections page and connect to your AWeber account.
  • Go to triggers page and add a new trigger. In this example, we'll select Send Survey action.
  • Select AWeber (List Subscribers)  for trigger type.
  • Select AWeber list to filter.
  • Once setup, we will automatically send survey to new users from specified AWeber list.

2) Fetch Pulse Data

You can fetch number of AWeber subscribers by list and use it for pulse notifications.

Follow steps below to setup pulse notifications.

  • Go to connections page and connect to your AWeber account.
  • Go to pulses page and add a new pulse. Select AWeber (List Subscribers) for pulse type.
  • After you have setup pulse, you can use it to setup notifiers.

3) Create or Update AWeber Subscriber

You can use workflows to automatically create or update AWeber subscriber when:

  • Someone response to survey

In this example, we will show how you can automatically create or update AWeber subscriber when a survey respondent is created.

  • If you haven't setup survey, follow guide to setup one-click email survey.
  • Go to connections page and connect to your AWeber account.
  • Go to workflows page and add a new workflow. For event type, select Survey Respondent (Created)
  • Specify conditions for workflow to be executed. For example, you can set conditions to only execute workflows for specific surveys.
  • Click on Add Action and select AWeber (Create or Update Subscriber) for action type.

In order for us to automatically create or update AWeber subscriber, we need to be able extract email from survey respondent. As such, "email" must be specified as respondent trait (This is done automatically for you if you are sending surveys via email). For surveys that are not distributed via emails, see guide on how to add traits for respondent.

  • Click Add Fields Mapping if you wish to map additional fields to AWeber. You can use data from survey answer, respondent traits, or manually specify a static value.
  • Click Save Action for configured action.
  • Click Save to create workflow.
  • Once setup, OnVoard will automatically create or update AWeber subscriber if workflow is executed.

Multiple Actions within a Workflow

To take things further, you can add multiple actions to a single workflow and it will be executed in sorted order. For example, we can use workflows to automatically create/update AWeber subscriber and then assign tags to it. Below is a list of AWeber related action types:

  • AWeber (Create or Update Subscriber)
  • AWeber (Update Subscriber Tags)

AWeber's Email Confirmation

By default, confirmation email (from AWeber) will be sent if you use API to add new AWeber subscriber. Since OnVoard uses AWeber's API to add new subscriber, all newly added subscribers will receive confirmation email. To disable this config, you need to contact AWeber's customer support.
